Tim
Carey Tim
is currently a lecturer and consultant at the Chinese University of Hong
Kong. Previously he was a management consultant with a global human
resources consulting company, where he worked for nearly five years. In
that time he was responsible for corporate training, assessment of
managers and executives, and executive coaching. He has taught English
in Hong Kong
for the past five years.
He received his Ph.D. in Industrial Psychology at the University of
South Florida, Tampa, Florida, USA. |

Nicholas Shields
Nicolas has 11 years of English teaching experience in Hong Kong. He
has written a grammar textbook that was published in Hong Kong in
1996, and has edited many dissertations, magazine articles and
significant amounts of advertising copy. He has worked for numerous
private English language schools in Hong Kong over the past five
years. |
 John
Stephenson (Director of Studies) has 20 years experience of business
teaching, including the training of accountants in the property
industry. He was also involved in the "Crystal Clear Good English"
campaign. More recently, he taught English in Sydney, helping
people to learn both a language and aspects of Australian culture.
He was the chairman of the SPEAKEASY UK youth counseling service,
and is also an enthusiastic badminton coach. |
Debbie has nearly 15 years experience teaching all levels of ESL in the
U.S. and Japan. Prior to coming to Hong Kong, Debbie worked in Corporate
H.R. - recruiting and training personnel in the cities of New York and
Tokyo. Currently, in addition to teaching, Debbie works as a weekend
English News Anchor for Metroplus Radio in Hong Kong.
With over ten years teaching experience, Melanie specializes in Business
English and TESOL preparation. With most of her work experience in Asia,
she has spent the past four years teaching at University level in Korea
before joining the team at Chase Dragon.
Our other teachers, Charmaine and Tim, each have over five years
of
teaching experience in various settings, including classrooms and
tutorials. In addition, Tim holds a Ph.D. in psychology from a
U.S. University.
